The small fruits begin green, then turn red/brown as it ripens but are popularly eaten at both stages. Ours have been picked and ripened at an optimal stage of green and red speckled fruits. They don’t ripen after being picked.
Texture and taste wise, they can be likened to an Apple with a crisp and sweet taste and feel although Jujube is richer, sweeter and more aromatic than an Apple.
Provides a good source of Vitamin C and Potassium.
